Paper notebooks fill up, get lost, or end up as a stack of half-used pads on a shelf. If you like writing by hand but hate the clutter, a reusable notebook is a neat middle ground between paper and a screen.
The Rocketbook Core works like an ordinary notebook: write on its 32 letter-size pages, scan the page to the cloud with the companion app, then wipe it clean with a damp cloth and start again. A Pilot FriXion pen and a microfiber towel are included, so it is ready to use out of the box.
There are trade-offs to accept. It only works with Pilot FriXion pens, so refills are an ongoing cost beyond the notebook itself. Ink left sitting on a page for weeks can ghost after wiping, and the scanning magic depends on the companion app — if you would rather avoid apps entirely, this is not the notebook for you.
